MB: 2017 Budget focused on beneficial development

SHAH ALAM, AUG 22: Selangor Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali envisions the 2017 Budget to focus on development aspects that will benefit the rakyat and Selangorians alike.
He said that the aim can be realised with the state’s strong financial reserves.
“For next year, I have already informed the Treasury and the State Economic Planning Unit (UPEN) that in the current economic condition, the state government is responsible to reduce the rakyat’s burden.

“We will translate our strong reserves into continuous development that will bring benefits to Selangor citizens,” he said during the Selangor Government Departments’ Monthly Assembly and the Jalur Gemilang Flag Flying Campaign Launch at the Silver Jubilee Hall recently.
Also present at was Klang Municipal Council Yang Dipertua Datuk Mohamad Yasid Bidin, Selangor State Assembly Speaker Hannah Yeoh and Selangor State Secretary Datuk Mohd Amin Ahmad Ahya.
According to records, the state government has successfully presented balanced budgets without any additional changes for three years.
In addition, the state government also introduced the concept of increasing development expenditure and lowering administration expenditure.
