SHAH ALAM, AUG 15: Those in the Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) industry are urged to take the opportunity to be actively involved in state investments to effectively generate more income.
Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali said the recommendation followed the State Government’s announcement on the increased investment target for 2017.
“The State Government targets RM6 billion for investments, therefore I urge industry players to take this opportunity.
“Investment and technology opportunities must be utilised to the maximum to modernise operations in order to increase productivity,” he said.

Selangor has been consistent in maintaining its position as the country’s top investment destination.
This follows the Statistics Department’s report for 2010-2014 showing that collectively, Selangor and Wilayah Persekutuan were Malaysia’s biggest contributor in the service sector at 49.9%.
Meanwhile, statistics by Malaysian Investment Development Board (MIDA) for 2015 showed that 222 investment projects were approved.
From that, Selangor managed to secure RM7.96 billion worth of investment in 2015 compared to the previous year of RM7.04 billion.
