SHAH ALAM, OCT 13: Kamsari Nasir was appointed as the new Yayasan Warisan Anak Selangor (YAWAS) General Manager, effective last September 1.
In a media statement issued by YAWAS, Kamsari’s appointment was to replace the former General Manager, Mohd Nor Mohd Zin.
In addition, Rantaian Mesra Sdn Bhd (RMSB) will now be fully operated under YAWAS effective this October 17.
All correspondence relating to Merakyatkan Ekonomi Selangor (MES) programme handled by YAWAS and RMSB should be addressed to YAWAS office at Aras 5, Kompleks Belia & Kebudayaan Negeri Selangor, Lot 4, Jalan Platinum 7/52, Seksyen 7, Persiaran Kayangan,40000 Shah Alam, Selangor Darul Ehsan.
The Selangor Children’s Heritage Trust Fund or shortened as TAWAS is among the important programmes in the MES Phase 1 agenda.
TAWAS and its logo were officially launched in conjunction with the Sambutan Ambang Merdeka Peringkat Negeri Selangor in August 30, 2008.
The program is managed by YAWAS and elligible to children born in Selangor.
On August 17, 2015, through a State Council Assembly meeting, a Selangor Childrens’ Heritage Trust Fund Enactment was approved to ensure that the TAWAS members receive RM1, 500 when they reach the age of 18 years and the fund is managed by the State Government.
Beginning March 1, 2014, YAWAS has introduced the Skim Khairat Kematian TAWAS whereby RM1,500 will be given to beneficiaries if its member dies before reaching 18 years old.
