MB: Inovation & creativity to strengthen public service

SHAH ALAM, OCT 14: State Government’s departments and agencies are urged to take an approach based on innovation and creativity in efforts to strengthen Selangor’s public services.
Dato’ Menteri Besar, Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali said a new approach is required in order to meet the current needs and challenges.
“Taking this into consideration, the State Government had promptly introduced the concept of Smart Selangor in its 2016 Budget, which was well received by all departments and agencies.
“As a result, we can see a significant increase in the State’s productivity including an increased contribution towards the country’s Gross Domestic Product in 2016,” he said at the 2016 Selangor State Level Innovation Appreciation Ceremony.

The ceremony awarded winners in various categories such as the Majlis Persada Inovasi Perkhidmatan Awam Peringkat Negeri Selangor 2016, Anugerah Inovasi Negeri Selangor 2016, Anugerah Mini Konvensyen KIK Pejabat Setiausaha Kerajaan Negeri 2016, Anugerah Mini Konvensyen 2016 dan Anugerah Khas Inovasi Selangor (AINS) 2016.
For the Special Award category, ‘I Six Inpirasi’ from the Enforcement Department of Sabak Bernam District Council (MBSB) received the Anugerah Khas Inovasi while X-Pert Group from Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) won the Anugerah Khas KIK.
Additionally, there were four recipients of the International Convention on Quality Control Circle Special Award which were the EX7 Group from MBSA, the Beyond Boundaries Group (Subang Jaya Municipal Council), the QE Talk Group (Ampang Jaya Municipal Council) and the INFYNYTY Group (Rural and Urban Planning Department).
At the same time, MPSJ also received two more Special Awards which were the Anugerah Khas Inovasi Hijau and the Anugerah Khas Inovasi Smart City.
Besides that, Dato’ Dr Zainul Rashid Mohd Razi received the Anugerah Khas Pencapaian Gemilang AINS for his effort in medicine and research.
