Couple who harassed MBSA enforcer jailed 14 days

SHAH ALAM, NOV 25: Two individuals who harassed a Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) lady enforcer while performing her duty at Bukit Rahman Putra, Sungai Buloh was jailed 14 days.
According to BH Online, the sentence was passed by Magistrate P Sarulatha after the couple, Lor Ka Hoo, 35, and Tan Sit Fun, 30, pleaded guilty to Section 353 of the Penal Code for using criminal force to intimidate a civil servant from carrying out her duties in accordance of the law.
Sarulatha also ordered the accused to pay a RM3,000 fine and if they failed to do so, they would face seven days’ jail.
However, Sarulatha allowed the sentence to be deferred pending the appeal and the accused were freed on RM2,000 bail each.
According to the charge, both individuals were charged with criminal force against Nurul Ain Isa, 23, while she was performing her duties and if convicted, they can be sentenced to two years in prison or fined or both.
In the 10:30 am incident, the victim along with a colleague were carrying out their duties at BRP 6/11 Bukit Rahman Putra and issued a summons on a car that did not display a parking coupon.
However, the accused was infuriated by the summons and an argument involving the couple and the enforcer ensued. The video of the incident went viral on social media.
