BY: ERMIZI MUHAMAD
KUALA LANGAT, NOV 16: The best student for Penilaian Sekolah Rendah Agama (PSRA), Muhammad Amir Rafiq Rahmat, did not merely focus on the learning process in school but also practiced eating ‘sunnah’ food to ensure his mind is always alert.
The SRA Al Husna Taman Universiti Indah Petaling student said that in order to receive blessings in studies, all students should practice obedience to Allah, parents and teachers.
“I am very happy and thankful for this success. Like other students, my tip for success is to revise before exams.
“However I also made it a habit to eat ‘sunnah’ food such as dates and raisins; and also performed ‘hajat’ prayers to ensure everything goes smoothly.
“Not to forget, as students we must respect our parents and teachers who are always encouraging and motivating us,” he said.
Meanwhile, Ruqayyah Nur Muhammad, a KAFAI Darus Salim student said that she prepared early for the examinations to ease the process of remembering and accepting knowledge.
“Study as usual, don’t get too pressured. Study according to schedule for consistency.
“Besides that, another factor for success are my parents who were always supportive and reminding me if I get distracted or forgot to study,” she said.
Muhammad Amir and Ruqayyah were each awarded with a Mumtaz title and received Trophies as well as Certificates of Excellence for their achievement.
The awards decision was announced on November 15, during the PSRA Results Announcement Ceremony in SRAI Sungai Manggis, here.
Also present were Islamic Religious Department (JAIS) Director Dato’ Haris Kassim; Islamic Religious Affairs, Malay Customs & Heritage, Rural & Traditional Villages Development Exco Dato’ Dr Ahmad Yunus Hairi; and JAIS Education Unit Assistant Director Head Mohamad Amir Danuri.
In the same development, the overall passing percentage decreased to 89.6% with 39,782 candidates compared to 89.8% last year.
