Rumah Selangorku checking mechanism being reviewed

SHAH ALAM, NOV 7: The State Government is prepared to review Rumah Selangorku’s housing application system mechanism.
Housing, Building Management and Urban Settlement Exco Dato’ Iskandar Abdul Samad said the implementation was made for it to be more user-friendly.
“As has been brought forward, the review website has to be more user-friendly to make it easier for applicants to check their application status.
“Maybe, we can align the system by improving service through several methods, including sending a reply letter regarding the application status,” he said.

He answered a question presented by Kajang Assemblyman Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail regarding the application system coordination mechanism at the Selangor State Authority Legislative Assembly on November 7.
Rumah Selangorku has become a pioneer in the local real estate market which people are eyeing to own, especially the lower income group.
Even though still new in real estate industry, the offered sale price not exceeding RM250,000 per unit, convinced citizens to apply through the Selangor Housing and Property Board.
rumah01House factoring by Khazanah Research Institute revealed that Rumah Selangorku offers three variants; type B is priced at RM100,000 with a total area of 750 square feet, type C from RM150,000 to RM200,000 (800-1080 square feet). Meanwhile, type D at an estimated price of RM220,000 to RM250,000 are 1,000 to 1,200 square feet.The closest competitors of Rumah Selangorku are Affordable Housing Wilayah Persekutuan Project (RUMAWIP) and 1Malaysia Civil Servants Housing (PPA1M) with sales price of up to RM300,000.
In terms of estimated income, Selangorku Homes and PPA1M focus on earners of RM0 to RM5,000 per month; while RUMAWIP, of RM0 to RM10,000 per month.
However, there are complaints by applicants who face difficulty in checking their application status made via the website of the Selangor Housing and Property Board.
