Raja Muda Selangor welcomes Sultan Kelantan at KLIA

SEPANG, DEC 13: The Sultan of Kelantan Sultan Muhammad V arrived safely at the Bunga Raya Complex in KL International Airport, Sepang on the morning of December 13 for the swearing-in ceremony and signing of the appointment letter as the 15th Yang di-Pertuan Agong.
His Majesty’s arrival at 10.16 am was welcomed by Raja Muda Selangor, Tengku Amir Shah; Tengku Laksamana Selangor, Tengku Sulaiman Shah; and Communications and Multimedia Minister Datuk Seri Dr Salleh Said Keruak as Chairman of the Special Committee.
His Majesty inspected the Static Honour Guards comprising 2 officers and 26 men of rank from the 1st Unit Royal Ranger Regiment, led by Captain Mohd Hafiz Mohamad Noor.
He then proceeded to Parliament Square for the official full ceremonial welcome.
Sultan Muhammad V, 47, was elected as the 15th Yang di-Pertuan Agong at the 243rd (Special) Meeting of the Conference of Rulers in October, which also elected Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Shah, as Deputy Yang di-Pertuan Agong.
In Kuala Lumpur, the arrival of Sultan Muhammad V at Parliament Square at 11 am was greeted by ‘nafiri’ music performed by 14 members of the Army’s Royal Ceremonial Ensemble.
Sultan Muhammad V was greeted by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and his wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, and Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
His majesty was then escorted to the Royal Dais pass honour guards of lance bearers followed by the ‘Hormat Diraja’ salute by the Main Honour Guards; the “Negaraku” (national anthem) was played by the Central Band of the Royal Malay Regiment led by Captain Muhammad Nor Azizan Yahya.
Simultaneously, the Yang di-Pertuan Agong’s personal flag was raised followed by 21 gun salute.
Sultan Muhammad V then inspected the guards of honour comprising 103 members and 4 officers from the First Battalion of the Royal Malay Regiment led by Major Mohd Ridwan Basheer.
The ceremony continued with a prayer by the Federal Territory Mufti Datuk Dr Zulkifli Mohamad Al-Bakri, which was then followed by the ‘Hormat Diraja’ salute and the national anthem for the second time.
His  Majesty then went to Istana Negara in Jalan Duta to attend the 244th Conference of Rulers (Special) in conjunction with the swearing-in and signing of letter to serve as the Yang di-Pertuan Agong.
