24 State Government pensioners celebrated

SUBANG JAYA, DEC 15: A total of 24 State Government Secretary administrators who retired from 2014 to 2016, were celebrated at the Anugerah Jasamu Dikenang (AJD), in Holiday Villa Hotel & Suites, here.
The awards were presented by Dato’ Menteri Besar, Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali who was accompanied by State Government Secretary Dato’ Mohd Amin Ahmad Ahya.
Among pensioners who received the awards was former Deputy State Secretary (Development) Dato’ Mohamad Roslan Sakiman.
Other recipients included former Land and Mine Office Director Dato’ Kamarulzaman Jamil, Irrigation and Drainage Department Director Hashim Osman, and Human Resources Management Department Secretary Datin Wan Rabiah Wan Mohd Yusof.
4 officers and employees who were in service for more than 25 years; and 10 officers who were transferred to other ministries and central agencies, were also among those celebrated.
Mohamad Roslan who retired in September 2015, was touched by the recognition given.

“Retirement is a destination that all civil servants arrive at. There are sweet memories to be remembered although there are many challenges and trials throughout the service,” he said.
He also recommended retired civil servants to go into business or social activities to continue serving society.
Mohamad Roslan who served the government for 33 years, starting as Diplomatic Administration Officer in the Prime Minister’s Department in 1983.
He was also a former Petaling Jaya Mayor for six years.
