6.6 magnitude quake shook Banda Sea

KUALA LUMPUR, DEC 21: An earthquake measuring 6.6 on the Richter scale shook Banda Sea, Indonesia at 8.17 am, on December 21.
Malaysian Meteorology Department reported the epicentre as 456 kilometres southwest of Ambon, Indonesia and 1,718 kilometres southeast of Semporna, Sabah.
Nevertheless, the earthquake does not pose any tsunami threat to Malaysia.
