SHAH ALAM, DEC 1: About 10,000 visitors are expected to attend Fiesta Selangor 2016 which will be held on December 24 and 25.
Pelaksana Chairman Afzainizam Abdul Rahman said the fiesta is aimed to expose youths and the public to various activities of interest to ensure that they fill up their time in the best ways possible.
He said the programme indirectly promotes racial harmony, produces healthy youth and instils sports culture at the grass-root level.
“This kind of fiesta, which is held for the first time, promotes healthy lifestyles, the intellect and human capital in youths,” he said in a media conference, here.
Afzainizam said the programme also helps entrepreneurs promote their products and give prominence to youths.
“Hopefully this activity will achieve its aim and positively impact the community in Shah Alam, especially youths,” he said.
The fiesta will be from 6 am to 10 am at Stadium Shah Alam, and it is expected to be officiated by Youth, Sports, Culture and Entrepreneur Development Exco Amirudin Shari.
Among activities lined up are drift and gymkana, self-defence art, Fun Run (skeleton run), rugby, nine-a-side soccer and badminton. There are also religious programmes, fashion bazaar and an autoshow.
