KSN denies December 13 a public holiday

KUALA LUMPUR, DEC 7: The office of the Chief Secretary to the Government (KSN) has denied issuing statement being spread on the social media declaring December 13 as a public holiday.
The KSN Office in a statement today said the Chief Secretary to the Government, Tan Sri Dr Ali Hamsa has never issued such statement that has been going viral.
“This is to inform that the statement has never been issued by KSN, and December 13, 2016 is not a public holiday,” as said in the statement.
Earlier, there has been a message going viral on the social media claiming that Ali Hamsa has declared December 13 as a public holiday for the country in conjunction with the installation of the new Yang di-Pertuan Agong on that date.
