KUALA LUMPUR. DEC 30: A students coalition group, Mahasiswa Bersama Syria, calls for the mobilisation of humanitarian advocacy issues there.
Deputy President of the Muslim Students Association of Malaysia (PKPIM), Iman Abdul Khudus said the students criticise the cruelty of the Bashar Assad regime and its allies, which has claimed many innocent lives.
“We intend to spread understanding and awareness of the crisis in Syria extensively, by going to other campuses across the country.

“The Syrian issue is not a religious or racial issue, it is a humanitarian issue which crosses differences in ideological backgrounds and skin colour,” he said.
He said this in a press conference at the headquarters of Angkatan Belia Islam Malaysia (ABIM).
According to him, the campaign will begin at the public university in February 2017 after the semester holidays end.
He stated that students in Malaysia were committed to help reduce the suffering of Syrian refugees through Humanitarian NGOs such as Malaysian Lifeline For Syria (MLLFS).
They urged the public to donate to MLLFS via Maybank (Account No.: 564810513971) and Bank Islam (Account No.: 14210010009882).
