SUBANG JAYA, DEC 19: Citizens of Selangor are advised to strengthen unity built through the years, to ensure lasting economic prosperity and development.
Dato’ Menteri Besar, Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali said that solid unity and tolerance among society is an integral asset that needs to be preserved.
“This asset is the axis for productive democracy, economic prosperity and the guarantee of citizens’ rights and freedom.
“We must realise that unity among citizens is the strength of a state and country. Therefore, the relationship between communities must be built on trust, team spirit and fundamental freedom as embodied in the Constitution,” he said.
He said that in a message delivered by the Tourism, Environment, Green Technology and Consumer Affairs Exco Elizabeth Wong in the Selangor State Level Christmas Day Celebration at Dataran Summit USJ on December 18.
At the same time, she said that those who tend to ignite racial tension, promote intolerance and sow seeds of hatred among communities should be rejected.
