Nock-Ten Typhoon: 6 killed, over 380,000 evacuated

PHILIPPINES, DEC 27: At least 6 people were killed by typhoon Nock-Ten, which swept in with threats of heavy rain and strong winds in the densely populated area of the city in the Philippines.
More than 383,000 people had to leave their homes while over 80 domestic and international flights were cancelled, according to a civil defence officer.
Typhoon Nock-Ten which arrived in the eastern region of the island near Cataduanes on December 26, is expected to head west towards the capital of the country with winds up to 215 kilometres per hour.
More than 20 typhoons and storms hit Philippines every year killing hundreds, with Bicol being usually the first region to be hit.
