SABAK BERNAM, DEC 23: The Sabak Bernam District Council (MDSB) has confirmed that the resort owned by Sungai Besar Umno Chief, Datuk Seri Jamal Md Yunos has no Certificate of Completion and Compliance (CCC).
MDSB Yang Dipertua, Azlinda Azman said, several notices and fines have been issued for the last five years to the premise owner, however the hotel business operation was still ongoing.
“We have given notices, we have also fined up to the confiscation, the last fine on the owner was RM250,000.
“The offence is covered as business operation without CCC, issued last December 8 and the owner must pay the fine.
“We consistently take appropriate action as MSDB do not stop business activities in this district but it must be carried out according to law,” he said after the High-Tea Ceremony with Malaysian Games (SUKMA) athletes at the Dewan Seri Bernam Sungai Besar, yesterday.

However, according to Azlinda, the confiscation and demolition is carried out under the District Land Office’s jurisdiction.
The resort was built on a 25 hectares of land providing 158 rooms and 30 chalets by the seaside, with a construction cost of RM12 million.
