RM400,000 upgrade for Darul Ehsan Mosque

AMPANG, DEC 9: A total of RM400,000 was approved to upgrade the Darul Ehsan Mosque in Taman Tun Abdul Razak.
Dato’ Menteri Besar, Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali said this allocation is for the first phase. There will be several phases more in the mosque’s upgrading works.
He said the Selangor State Economic Planning Unit (UPEN) had informed the State Government to prepare a ceiling amount of RM5 million for the upgrading of the Darul Ehsan Mosque.
“We will begin discussions with relevant parties next year to ensure the project can be continued.
“The project is under the mutual agreement of the mosque, Selangor Islamic Religious Department (JAIS) and Public Works Department (JKR),” he said when officiating the Hari Mesra Masjid Darul Ehsan Taman TAR.
Hence, Mohamed Azmin hopes that residents can enliven the mosque with religious and beneficial activities in accordance with its rightful function as a place of worship and community centre.
“A mosque must be built on the basis of piety and not beauty; also programmes to enliven it must be outlined for future development of the community and society,” he said.
