RMS leads Selangor state parade celebrating Prophet's Birthday

SHAH ALAM, DEC 12: The Selangor State celebration of the Prophet’s birthday 1438H on the morning of December 12, was started off with the Prophet’s Birthday Parade.
The parade, themed ‘People United, Selangor Advances’, was led by His Royal Highness Raja Muda Selangor, Tengku Amir Shah and accompanied by Dato’ Menteri Besar, Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali.
The 8.30 am parade started at Stadium Mini Shah Alam and ended at Stadium Melawati.
The approximately two kilometres-long parade involved 90 contingents, comprising more than 3,600 participants.

The contingents consisted of participants from government departments, statutory bodies, private sector, non-governmental organisations, public institutions of higher learning, mosques and secondary schools.
During the parade, the Prisons Department of Malaysia Sungai Buloh won in categories of the best parade and best banner competitions.
Other contingents also won in their respective categories of Masjid Uniten, Sekolah Maahad Tahfiz Hishamuddin, Kolej University Islam Antarabangsa Selangor, Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Seksyen 16, Klang Municipal Council and PADAT.
