Human Resources Award to boost creativity & innovation

SHAH ALAM, JAN 18: Selangor State Secretary Dato’ Mohd Amin Ahmad Ahya announced that a Human Resources Award will be organised for the first time this year.
He said the purpose of the award is to instil the principle of optimum, creative and innovative human resources utilisation.
He added that it is also to recognise the department which internalises the State Government’s concepts in creating the principles of ‘Smart Governance’..
“Besides that, the State Government also provides a special training centre that focuses on technical training for officers and employees in the 12 local authorities.
“It is hoped that the training management system can be implemented in a systematic and effective way to shape local authority employees to become sufficiently equipped to provide the best services to citizens,” he said.
He said that at the State Government Monthly Assembly on January 16 at the Bangunan Kerajaan Negeri (SUK).
Besides that, Mohd Amin said an electronic medical claims system will be launched in the middle of this year to facilitate government pensioners in receiving medical facilities.
“We are also improving the entitlement for 5,255 contract officers in all departments under the State Secretary’s office, which includes annual leave, hajj leave, unrecorded leave due to death of close family members as well as paternity leave.
“All these incentives prove that the State Government is concerned of the welfare of civil servants, and hopefully this will enable them to provide better services to citizens,” he said.
