Let’s make a success of ‘Shah Alam Tanpa Kenderaan’ on Jan 22

SHAH ALAM, JAN 9: ‘Shah Alam Hari Tanpa Kenderaan’ on January 22, reinforces efforts to turn Shah Alam into a green city, consistent with the State Government’s aims.
The Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) sponsored programme, fully supported by the State Government, is an effort to turn Shah Alam into a sustainable city.
Implementing the programme is also consistent with the State Government’s aim to holistically reduce carbon consumption.

Persiaran Perbandaran, Persiaran Taik, Persiaran Masjid, Persiaran Dato’ Menteri and Persiaran Damai are among roads involved.
At the same time, this allows the public to engage in recreational activities without traffic disturbances.
The activities include recreational cycling, roller-blading, skating, hover-boarding, walking and scooter-blading.
The programme is hoped to change an environment of traffic-congestion into that of recreation, through activities that will benefit the public.
