MB & Excos help flood victims, provide necessary aid

SABAK BERNAM, JAN 25: Dato’ Menteri Besar, Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali entered the fields to help flood victims at the Dewan Paya Baru Relief Centre, on January 25.
Committed in ensuring that the welfare of the 107 evacuees are taken care of, he also distributed RM500 to each family affected.
Not only that, Dato’ Menteri Besar also distributed aid to the 158 flood evacuees at Sungai Besar Multipurpose Hall.
Aid consisted of cooking necessities and food supplies.

Speaking to SelangorKini, Dato’ Menteri Besar said that the donation is an initiative by the State Government to reduce the burdens of the victims.
“The State Executive Council was briefed by the State Disaster Unit on the flood issue affecting the population in Sabak Bernam and Sungai Besar.
“Selangor is no exception to this disaster, with floods in several villages since last Monday.
“Hence, the State Government is monitoring the situation and will continue to be committed to protect the welfare of those affected,” he said when met after the ceremony.
Prior to that, he had also listened to concerns on local issues raised by residents.
Also present were Health, Welfare, Women & Family Development Exco Dr Daroyah Alwi and Infrastructure, Public Amenities, Agricultural Modernisation & Agro-Based Industries Exco Zaidy Abdul Talib.
Dato’ Menteri Besar was also accompanied by Islamic Religious Affairs, Malay Customs & Heritage, Rural & Traditional Villages Development Exco Dato’ Dr Ahmad Yunus Hairi and Housing, Building Management & Urban Settlement Exco Dato’ Iskandar Abdul Samad.
