“Local authorities play a very effective role in ensuring these activities do not become widespread. Stern action will be taken if it is detected,” he said at the Flood Victims Aid Distribution Ceremony at Dewan Parit Baru on January 25.
He was commenting on the State Government’s commitment in addressing the growing number of gambling centres and massage parlours in Selangor.
The media had reported that there are more than 400 massage parlours in Selangor, with most operating around Ampang, Klang, Kuchai Lama and Damansara.
However, the actual number of these premises are yet to be determined.
At the same time, the state’s police and local authorities are consistently conducting operations to raid these premises.
