MDKL: Over 20,000 commuters enjoying free bus service

KUALA LANGAT, JAN 12: Over 20,000 commuters are benefitting from the Smart Selangor free bus services in Kuala Langat district since its launch in May 2016.
The Kuala Langat District Council (MDKL) Yang Dipertua Mohd Azhar Mohamed Ali said the number of commuters have increased to 24,782 since December 2016.
He said this increase is a positive sign, compared to 1,926 commuters when the service was first provided.

“The most significant increase was during October to November, with an increase to 13,306 commuters.
“This encouraging response shows the trust and confidence that the public has in the quality of Smart Selangor Bus service,” he said.
Mohd Azhar said MDKL constantly monitors the service to ensure that it is in top condition to facilitate the public.
“Therefore, I urge the Kuala Langat community to continue to take advantage of the service provided.
“They will not only reduce traffic congestion but also save money,” he said.
