PAS has right to assemble as affirmed in Constitution

BY: NAZLI IBRAHIM
AMPANG, JAN 12: “All parties have the right hold peaceful assemblies as affirmed in the Federal Constitution,” said KEADILAN Deputy President Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali.
He said that would include Himpunan Mega RUU 355 (355 Bill) which will be organised by PAS on February 18.
“We have expressed our stance on this Bill and if PAS intends to hold a rally, then it is the right of any individual or organisation to hold a peaceful rally.
“We have expressed our views repeatedly,” he said.
Mohamed Azmin, who is also Dato’ Menteri Besar Selangor, said that to the media after visiting the drainage-system-upgrading project site in Hulu Kelang Primary School on January 11.
He said KEADILAN will discuss if there are any invitations to join the rally.
“So far, I have not been informed, and I think they are also identifying the location. We will discuss our participation within the party,” he added.
