PEKAWANIS give contribution in conjunction with Chinese New Year

SHAH ALAM, JAN 30: Selangor Women’s Welfare and Charity Organisation (PEKAWANIS) through ADN Selat Klang visited 13 senior citizens and persons with disabilities (OKU) among the Tionghua races to deliver some gifts and donations.
ADN Selat Klang, Halimah Ali said she together with PAS officers and Brigade Amal Selat Klang handed out contributions from PEKAWANIS to 13 recipients around Teluk Pulai, on 26 January.
“The contributions target the elderly and disabled Chinese to ease their burden celebrating Chinese New Year.

“Besides handing the donation, I managed to visit and check on them, in addition to seeing a unique painting by a youth with disabilities,” she said in a statement.
At the same time, 400 people in Selat Klang who celebrate Chinese New Year received a Jom Shopping vouchers, on that day.
“We want the Chinese people feels happy when celebrating the Chinese New Year with their beloved families,” she said.
It is understood that the giving of vouchers is done in three phases, on 17, 24 and 26 January held in Econmart Supermarkets near ADUN Selat Klang
Also present were the Indians Selat Klang Chief Indian Community, Radhakrishnan;  Selat Klang Chief DHPP, Ramanchandran and Special Officer MPK councilor, Ismail Rabbani.
