SELAT KLANG, JAN 19: A total of 400 coupons were distributed by Selat Klang State Assemblyman to the Tionghua community in conjunction with Chinese New Year Jom Shopping programme.
Selat Klang Assemblyman Dr Halimah Ali said the programme targets those from the Chinese community who are less fortunate and with low income.
“The first batch of coupons was distributed to residents in Pulau Ketam, Sungai Lima and Bagan Hailam.
“We also provided bus services to facilitate recipients to collect the coupons,” she said in a statement.
The coupons were distributed in Eco Mart Supermarket, Jalan Yadi on January 18.
