Terengganu floods: No additional victims

SHAH ALAM, JAN 9: As of January 9 morning, the total flood victims in Terengganu remain at 204 people from 58 families.
Through the Infobanjir application, the Social Welfare Department reported that Sekolah Kebangsaan Gemuruh in Kuala Terengganu is still accommodating 126 victims from 38 families.
Meanwhile, the number of evacuees in Sekolah Kebangsaan Durian Mentangau remain at 78 people.
As of the previous night, flood victims in Kelantan has lessened to 836 people from 1,932 recorded in the afternoon.
Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department in a statement on website www.met.gov.my, warned of strong winds and rough seas (category one).
Strong north-easterly winds are at a speed of between 40 – 50 kilometres per hour (kmsj), and waves up to 3.5 metres high are expected to hit the waters of Kelantan and Terengganu on January 9.
This is dangerous for small boats, water recreational activities and water sports.
