Worldwide Holdings committed to strengthening state’s education agenda

SHAH ALAM, JAN 27: Worldwide Holdings Berhad (Worldwide Holdings) is committed in its role as a State owned company to support the state’s educational development agenda.
Head of Communications Ami Nardin Ishak said their focus is to implement existing education policies as announced in the State Budget on October 2016.
“Worldwide supports the State Government’s programmes in its effort to produce graduates and hafiz (person who memorise Al-Quran) through Selangor Islamic College University (KUIS) education programmes.

“We don’t just stop at that, our efforts to help reinforce the education system is also through the Religious Primary School Books Publishing Programme, using JAIS’s education syllabus and modules.
“With all these, we hope to fulfil all the education requirement and our social responsibility to the education development agenda,” he said.
He was asked to comment on his continuous commitment and long-term plan for corporate social responsibility (CSR) in the state.
Worldwide Holdings is a subsidiary of Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) which actively supports the State Government’s policies and agendas.
In 2016, among initiatives implemented was the preparation of an education module for the Muslim community in Champa, Cambodia.
In fact, the company had also sponsored the tahfiz Al-Quran and Al-Qiraat education programmes in state educational institution.
