Attractive programmes in conjunction with Visit Klang Year 2017

KLANG, FEB 6: The Royal City of Klang is prepared to welcome tourists with a variety of attractive programmes and many interesting places to be visited in conjunction with the Visit Klang Year 2017.

Investment, Small & Medium Industries, Trade and Transport Exco, Dato’ Teng Chang Khim said, among the interesting places to visit are the Alam Shah Palace and Royal Klang Heritage Walk.
“2017 is Visit Klang Year, a cooperation between Klang Municipal Council and Tourism Malaysia who have taken the initiative to introduce and raise the awareness on tourism products available in the district to attract more domestic and international tourists.
“Klang is among the oldest settlement in Tanah Melayu which has a very important history that needs to be preserved and highlighted, including its glories as a heritage city and royal town that still maintains its historical buildings,” said Chang Kim.
He was speaking in his opening address during the 2017 Chinese New Year Open House at the Kompleks Sukan Pandamaran on February 5.
He added that among the programmes lined up for the year are Let’s Picnic in Klang, We Love Klang Treasure Hunt, Pulau Ketam Tour, Selat Tirai Fishing Competition at Tanjung Harapan, Klang Art Festival, Photography Competition at Jambatan Kota, Classic Bicycle Ride and We Love Klang Food Festival.
