KEADILAN to encourage people show solidarity with Anwar

SHAH ALAM, FEB 10: KEADILAN inviting people to attend the Rumah Terbuka Muhibbah programme that will take place in front of the Sungai Buloh Prison, tonight in solidarity with Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim against Umno and Barisan Nasional (BN).
Secretary-General of PKR, Datuk Saifuddin Nasution Ismail said, Anwar who is also Chairman of the party was willing to imprisonment for the sake of opposing corruption and mismanagement while bring reformation to the welfare of the people.
“When he was young, he was detained under the ISA for fighting the cause of poor peasants in Baling, while in 1999, he was vilified for not succumbing to corruption and embezzlement during his government that time.
“He once again slandered and imprisoned in 2015 for opposing the deviance kleptocrats,” he said in a statement.
He said the world community has condemned the jailing of Anwar by the kleptocrats who described it as invalid from a legal standpoint, in addition to demanding the immediate release.

Saifuddin said the stand was shared by the Inter-Parliamentary Union, in 2016 that called for the immediate release of Anwar.
“Anwar’s imprisonment was intended to break his spirit and the fighting for reformation by the people in the struggle to save Malaysia from kleptocrats, corrupt and pest democratic institutions in the country.
“However, Anwar’s spirit remains strong, and it is clearly shows that he has a big heart. Therefore, we must istiqamah in bringing this agenda for reform and change.
“Make sure that the spirit of reform does not fade from our minds (because) Malaysia is facing serious challenges, especially from an economic point of which will determine the direction of the country,” he said.
