SHAH ALAM, FEB 14: Ampang Jaya Municipal Council continues to actively make the effort to control rats from breeding in commercial, food court and stall areas in its jurisdiction in an operation last January 22.
MPAJ Corporate Communications Officer, Norhayati Ahmad said they use the Racumin poison in the form of pallet which is placed at potential locations where rats might breed and where it passes such as waste dumping site, drains, holes in the ground and back-lanes of premises.
She said 85 reports have been received last year concerning this problem.
“After the poison is sprinkled, we shall review the area within seven to ten days to count the number of carcass found.
“Based on this method, we have so far cleaned up 463 rat carcasses,” he said in a statement.
