PWB pillow-stitching programme enhance craft skills

SHAH ALAM, FEB 22: A total of 30 women participated in the Kapok-Pillow Stitching Programme to enhance their handy-craft skills.
Health, Welfare, Women and Family Development Exco, Dr Daroyah Alwi said the programme was organised by the Women’s Empowerment Centre for Bukit Antarangasa Constituency, held at the Dewan Sri Melor, Ampang, last February 20.
“The programme started as early as 10 am with 30 women participants from the Constituency, supervised by Bukit Antarabangsa PWB Supervisor, Zawiyah Wan Daud.
“The programme also aims to illustrate the correct way to stitch kapok-pillow,” she said in a statement.
Daroyah also hopes that besides skills enhancement, the programme can also foster closer ties between those involved while helping housewives to generate side-income.
