SUBANG, FEB 16: In an effort to encourage youth to get involved in arts and culture community activities, entertainment, entrepreneurship, sports and health, the Selangor Youth Community (SAY) has taken the initiative to organise the SAY Ignite 2017 this coming April.
Its founder and patron, His Royal Highness the Raja Muda of Selangor (RMS), Tengku Amir Shah ibni Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah has said that the programme is divided between efforts to find talents at the grass-root level and to provide a platform for them to express their ideas on various issues concerning the younger generation.

“SAY is a platform for youth from various background and race, from the grass-root level to move towards becoming a society that help each other to become more progressive and this is the reason I started SAY,” he said.
He said that during the Selangor IGNITE 2017 Launching Ceremony at the Sunway Resort Hotel and Spa yesterday.
He said, SAY also establish a close working relationship with its strategic partners such as the government, corporate sector and the youth to ensure its workshops and motivational talks achieve their objectives.
He added that the younger generation are not only the future leaders and hope of the nation but they are capable of becoming a great leader if guided accordingly.
Meanwhile, a talent-search programme similar to ‘Britain Got Talent’, called ‘SAY ada Gaya’ will involve participants aged between 18 and 35, whether they are born, live or work in Selangor.
Those who are interested are required to send in a video and the ten best submission stand a chance to perform in the semi-finals before the three best participants are selected to perform during the SAY Ignite 2017.
