Salammusik “Terima Kasih” wins Best Hip-Hop Song of VIMA 2016

KUALA LUMPUR, FEB 11:  “Terima Kasih” by Salamusik has won the Best Hip-Hop Song of VIMA 2016, the independent music awards platform of South East Asia.
Full band Picture SalammusikThe lyrics of Salamusik’s “Terima Kasih” are based on the band’s experiences in the musical foray from their beginning until present day.
“We are a group with a wide variety of personas and interests that found common ground in music.
“Because of this, every song contains a colourful pallete of different flavours and melodic integrity. We are thankful to have found each other and every second that has been granted upon us to do something we are passionate about, which is making music,” said Salammusik.
The Best Hip-Hop Awards was determined by a panel of global judges, which included award winning producers and music celebrities, and by regional public votes via social media.
The VIMA 2016 Hip- Hop Award microawards presentation was held in uniquely staged scenario at the recording studio of Salammusik and telecast “Live” over Facebook.
VIMA founder, Siva Zaphod Chandran said, “ While the boundaries of mainstream and independent music are blurring, VIMA recognises creative and unique independent music talents and grant them with a platform.
“It’s especially pleasing to have one of Malaysia’s finest musical talents to win a VIMA, and I must say this has been thoroughly deserved.”
Salammusik is thankful for the award received and is looking forward to many exciting ventures and music projects in 2017.
The band has just released their single Dewi Seraya and is currently finalizing their new album, followed by a European tour in July and August.
“We are delighted to represent Malaysia in the major festivals; this will be our 4th year touring through Europe, and we are definitely geared up to deliver our best performances!” the band said.
