SHAH ALAM, FEB 1: Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) expects the Seksyen 17 Bus Terminal to start operating by next April.
MBSA Corporate and Public Relations Head, Shahrin Ahmad said, technical support from external agencies will be obtained first after upgrading works are completed this February.
“The upgrading works are expected to be complete by the end of February. After that, technical support from external agencies such as the Fire and Rescue Department (BOMBA), Indah Water Konsortium (IWK) and several others must be obtained before getting the Certificate of Completion and Compliance (CCC).
“If all goes as planned, the bus terminal will be operational by this April,” he said.
The new bus terminal is equipped with waiting area, public lavatories, surau, food outlets, retail shops, ticket counters, bus and taxi stands.
Regarding the Seksyen 13 Bus Terminal, Sharin said MBSA have no plans yet so far, but is of the view that it might be closed after the relocation on December 15, 2014.
