Sultan of Selangor not pleased hearses misused

SHAH ALAM, FEB 23: DYMM Sultan Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah was not pleased with hearses misused with the aim of making demonstration.
In a statement issued by the baginda private secretary, Datuk Mohamad Munir Bani, baginda said the vehicles can only be used to conduct the affairs of the body only.
“It is my honour to serve the DYMM Sultan Selangor’s command to all the Mosque Committee Members or Kariah Committee Members who are responsible to take good care of the vehicle remains under their supervision and use it for dealings with the body only.
“He was not pleased that hearse was misused other than the business of the body like demonstrations or rented to other uses that do not have to do with the handling of the bodies,” the statement said.
Sultan Sharafuddin said, it only shows the Muslims ridicule the use of the hearse that should not be done.
He also wants the concerned parties supervise and control the hearse to took note and complies with his command.
The latest statement was believed to be linked to the action Sungai Besar Umno division Chief, Datuk Jamal Md Yunus took 15 hearses to the office of the State Secretary (SUK) in Shah Alam, on 14 February.
Jamal also brought a coffin and dress like gravediggers and questioned some state programs, including the Golden Age Scheme (SMUE) and Death Benefit Fund.
Earlier, the Selangor Islamic Religious Department (JAIS) also disappointed with the Umno’s leaders who are exploiting the mosque assets for demonstration purposes.
