SHAH ALAM, FEB 4: The festive book fairs that are currently being organised will give a chance to industry entrepreneurs to create more revenue.
Selangor Public Library Corporation (PPAS) Deputy Director Suzliana Abdul Hamed said this would encourage a reading culture among the public.
“Competition between book fairs should not be made into barriers or a rush to gain visitors.
“Instead, it gives a chance to increase the income of entrepreneurs because the public today is fast adopting a reading culture,” she said during the Children’s Book Festival (FESBUK) 2017, at SACC Mall.
She also urged businesses to hold book auctions to help the rakyat to reduce their burden when facing tough economic situations.
Meanwhile, PKNS Real Estate Sdn Bhd CEO Fakru Radzi Ab Ghani said  FESBUK 2017 which is being held for the third time, aims to educate and expose children to the importance of knowledge.
