Voters advised to regularly check EC’s voters list

SHAH ALAM, FEB 27: Voters are urged to regularly check their electoral area on the Election Commission’s (EC) website to ensure their names are not simply transferred to another area.
Batu Tiga Assemblyman, Rodziah Ismail said this can happen to anyone, since recently many voters in Batu Tiga were moved to other Constituencies.
“In Shah Alam alone, there are a significant movement of voters to ensure Barisan Nasional’s (BN) victory, and I would like to remind everyone that when election comes, don’t think that we will be able to vote in the same area.
“Check your voting area on the EC’s website everyday, because in my area at Rimba Jaya for example, the whole residents of the flat had voted in Sekolah Agama Padang Jawa during GE13 but today, half of them will not be voting in the same area,” she said.
Rodziah said that during the Pakatan Harapan dan Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) Mega Talk at Seksyen 18 last night.
She said, the opposition parties are trying to prevent this from continuing to happen by taking the matter to court.
Besides that, Rodziah also called on the public to return to their respective constituency on polling day.
“For this election, we are facing a situation where we are fighting in court to prevent delineation of electoral boundaries,” she said.
