38 initiatives, RM1.9 billion but MB still finds ideas to help rakyat

KOTA DAMANSARA, MAR 21: After almost 38 initiatives created under the 17 Inisiatif Peduli Rakyat (IPR) programmes, Dato’ Menteri Besar, Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali is still thinking of ways to ensure the state’s wealth is distributed more comprehensively.
Health, Welfare, Women and Family Development Exco, Dr Daroyah Alwi said this is evident when Mohamed Azmin created Peduli Sihat initiative which was launched this year.
“When we list it down, there are almost 38 initiatives for all ages but Dato’ Menteri Besar is always thinking of other ways to contribute to the rakyat and the latest is the Skim Peduli Sihat for every family,” she said.
Daroyah said that during a media conference at the aid presentation by the State Government to two special education centres at the Pusat Pendidikan Khas Eden Firdaus at Red Carpet Avenue, Encorp Strand Mall yesterday.
She said, since 2008, the State Government has spent RM1.9 billion to fund various programmes for citizens’ welfare.
She said, although RM1.9 billion has been spent for various welfare programmes for the citizens but the State Government’s reserve continues to increase reaching RM3.6 billion, setting a new record.
Daroyah also advised the citizens in the state not to miss the opportunity to join the IPR programme for improve their families’ living standards.
