Bersatu joining Pakatan Harapan to form solid political unity

SHAH ALAM, MARCH 16: Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) participation with Pakatan Harapan able to strengthen existing political unity.
KEADILAN president, Datuk Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail said the party’s readiness to join Pakatan Harapan will become a solid political unity, progressive and powerful that can safeguard and uphold the rights of citizens.
She said the union’s move not only to face the 14th General Election (GE-14) but also Malaysia’s efforts to build a new dream together.
“I am honored and welcomed the statements by the main leader of PPBM, Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, who expressed his wish and political desire of PPBM to join the big family of Pakatan Harapan.

“It’s very important not only for the general election that will be ahead but also in building a new Malaysia that we all dream of,” she said in a statement.
Azizah said she will discuss with the leaders of Pakatan Harapan’s regarding the efforts and measures to strengthen the political union.
She said that in the meeting, leaders of Bersatu also will be invited to sit together and discuss strategies that will ensure the success of the political union, in efforts to save Malaysia from the current regime of kleptocracy.
“Pakatan Harapan political union is built on the spirit of the struggle for reforms and democratic values. Reformations struggle to save Malaysia Pakatan Harapan struggle.
“The values of democracy and consensus are the values held by Pakatan Harapan,” she said.
She said, with a wealth of experience in the consensus with opposition political parties, much success achieved.
“We managed to deny Barisan Nasional 2/3 and won five states in 2008.
“In the last general election, under the leadership of Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and joint manifesto and formula ‘one on one’, we managed to win 52 percent of the popular vote,” she said.
