MB: There will be no additional budget

SHAH ALAM, MAR 29: Dato’ Menteri Besar, Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali has confirmed that Selangor Government will not make additional allocation in the 2017 Budget.
He said, the RM3.45 billion for 2017, to implement government’s plans and agendas, will remain.
“In principle, the State Government has decided not to make any additional budget.
“We have done careful planning and projections when we presented the budget in this Dewan, hence we will stick to it,” he said.
He said that in response to Kampung Tunku Assemblyman, Lau Weng San’s question if the State Government will make additional budget for 2017, especially relating to Selangor water industry development projects for new piping.
Commenting further, Mohamed Azmin said, the State Government has directed Syarikat Air Selangor to complete the new pipe replacement project on time.
“I totally agree that old pipes should be replaced immediately, but the question is not budget but the current capacity, so that when budget is given, Syarikat Air Selangor would be able to complete the task on time,” he said.
