SHAH ALAM, MAR 2: The Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) will implement the Penalty Discount Campaign Series 1/2017 for up to 50% to encourage offenders (OKK) to settle their backlogs.
MBSA Corporate and Public Relations Head, Shahrin Ahmad said, the campaign will start from March 1 to 31, to help and encourage OKK to settle their outstanding fines before stern action is taken.
“The campaign also consists of discounts for offenses under the MBSA Road Transport Order 2007 which include not displaying parking coupons accordingly and parking at unauthorised spots.
“For the record, MBSA is cooperating with Road Transport Department (JPJ) to blacklist offenders who fail to settle their fines by introducing the I-Blacklist system.
“Hence the public is urged to expedite paying their fines before a more drastic action is taken,” he said in the statement.
