Parents can apply Peduli Sihat card specially for OKU children

KOTA DAMANSARA, MAR 21: Besides the RM500 from the Peduli Sihat scheme for families with income below RM3,000, parents with disabled children (OKU) can also apply a special Peduli Sihat card for these children.
Health, Welfare, Women and Family Development Exco, Dr Daroyah Alwi said this as OKU children requires additional medical expenses compared to normal children.
“Besides the peduli sihat card with RM500 value for a family with income below RM3,000, parents with special children can also get an additional peduli sihat card for RM200, specially for their children,” she said.
She said that during a media conference at the aid presentation by the State Government to two special education centres at the Pusat Pendidikan Khas Eden Firdaus at Red Carpet Avenue, Encorp Strand Mall today.
She said this proves that the State Government tries its very best to ensure no group is being left out from sharing the State’s wealth.
She added, the State Government allocates RM125 million to fund the Peduli Sihat programme which was launched this year.
