KUALA SELANGOR, MAR 2: The UNISEL Wakaf Gazebo Project saw Rantau Panjang Secondary Scool, Bestari Jaya as being the first location for the charity project.
University of Selangor (UNISEL) Corporate Communications Director, Hasril Abu Hassan said, the concept of wakaf in this project is one of the corporate social responsibility (CSR) programmes to benefit the students.
He said, students can use the gazebo as a place to rest and revise their lessons.
“Besides that, it can also highlight the students’ building skills and eventually expand the concept of wakaf.
“At the same time, we can expose the students to UNISEL and its courses,” he said in a statement.
The installation of the Wakaf Gazebo in Rantau Panjang Secondary School was completed by UNISEL’s staffs and students.
Targeting more schools in Selangor after this, the charity project is a cooperation between three faculties which are the Faculty of Engineering and Life Sciences, Faculty of Business and Accountancy and the Faculty of Communication, Visual Art and Computering as well as the Community Network Unit (COMNET).
