BY NAZLI IBRAHIM
GOMBAK, APRIL 28: The management of multi-storey residence in Pinggiran Batu Caves who have not yet completed the requirements to allow the process to change the strata title are immediately recommended to do so.
Gombak District Officer, Dato’ Amirul Azizan Abd Rahim said the failure to do so would delay unit owners involved getting their strata title units.
“We carried out a number of programmes for the establishment of Joint Management Body (JMB) and entered into an agreement between the landlord (Menteri Besar Incorporated) with a law firm for the payment of the Memorandum of Transfer (MOT) Pinggiran Batu Caves owner.
“However, I hope that the pending block give cooperation in order to resolve it,” he said at the Majlis Penyerahan Sumbangan MOT at the Land and Mines Office Gombak, here, yesterday.
Earlier, a total of 1,642 residents of Pangsapuri Pinggiran Batu Caves will receive the strata title units after the signing of the agreement between MBI with the attorneys involved with the transfer of ownership.
In the agreement, the State Government through the MBI will fund the legal costs and the surveyor valued at RM2.6 million, which usually have to be paid by residents.
