Its State Assemblyman, Dr Halimah Ali said the scheme will continue to be implemented throughout this year as announce by the State Government earlier.
“Up to date, RM4 million has been donated to Selat Kelang residents in the SMUE scheme, while more than 10,000 Selat Klang students have received SUK study loans approved by State Government.
“In fact, RM900,000 have been spent on students, for recipients of the Prize for Children’s University Entry, since it was implemented,” she said.
She said, welfare initiatives will be carried on in Selat Kelang Constituency after State Government allocated RM125 million under the Skim Peduli Sihat covering all the Constituencies in Selangor this year.
She also added that the community particularly in Selat Kelang welcomes all the initiatives implemented currently at state level.
Earlier, Dr Halimah had turun-padang to approach the community at the Pasar Pagi Teluk Pulai last April 3.
At the same time, she took the opportunity to listen to the local issues and handed over the Kad Peduli Sihat DUN Selat Klang to successful applicants.
