SHAH ALAM, MAY 2: In conjunction with the coming Ramadan, the Shah Alam Convention Centre (SACC) is providing the opportunity for visitors to ‘break fast while doing charity’ to help raise money for Rescue Syria Fund.
SACC General Manager, Nasrudin Abu Bakar said, the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative is implemented with cooperation from Malaysian Consultative Council for Islamic Organisation (Mapim).
“For every Ramadan voucher sold, RM1 will be donated to the Rescue Syria Fund with a target to raise at least RM12,000 throughout this blessed month.

“We have always taken the initiative to help the Syrians while calling out to the public to take the opportunity to do charity while breaking fast with the buffet spread that we have prepared,” he said.
He said this is the first cooperation with MAPIM, but before this, they had also collaborated with Amal Palestine for Palestinians and with Hidayah Center to help local communities such as Muslim converts.
He added that this initiative is available throughout Ramadan 2017 with an early-bird promotion at RM78 per adult and RM38 per child before May 27th.
