BY SYAZWANI SUFIAN
KLANG, MAY 29: The Block C of Pasar Besar Klang in Jalan Meru will be relocated to a suitable location to give way to the Light Rail Transit 3 Project (LRT3).
Investment, Small & Medium Industries, Trade and Transport Exco, Dato’ Teng Chang Khim said, Klang Municipal Council (MPK) is in planning stage to ensure the market can continue its business as usual.
He said, the affected block will also be taken over by Prasarana Malaysia Bhd.
“Traders from Block C will be asked to move out, but still in that market compound,” he said when met at the Peduli Rakyat Carnival at the Community Hall, Taman Eng Ann, Klang, yesterday.
He said there are two LRT stations that will be built along the Meru road near the Pasar Besar Klang in front of the Malaysian Business Council (MBC).

However, he said the decision in still in the pipeline due to objections from some shop-owners near MBC.
“MRCB, Prasarana and MPK have held their first meeting with these shop-owners, which I myself had chaired, to discuss the LRT project in that area.
“All parties are advised to review the project and shop-owners are advised to appoint engineers to advise them.
“We will hold another meeting within these two weeks before MPK make its final decision,” he said.
