RM350,000 to beautify Selayang in conjunction with SEA Games

SELAYANG, MAY 9: The Selayang Municipal Council (MPS) has allocated RM350,000 to maintenance work in areas under its jurisdiction in preparation for the 29th SEA Games this August.
Its Corporate Department Director, Mohamad Zin Masoad said the effort is made to beautify the area in view that Selayang will be welcoming local and foreign athletes and football fans.
“This year MPS will host the 29th SEA Games which will be held from August 18 to 23.
“Therefore, we are hoping that this initiative will give a positive perception of Selayang to the visitors,” he said to SelangorKini.
He said that after visiting the site for old-car depo today.
Zin said that among the upgrading work being undertaken involves the Selayang Stadium, MPS archway, landscaping and painting of old buildings as well as the stadium seat replacement.
