SUBANG JAYA, MAY 8: The Sunway Group is prepared to cooperate with Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ) to organise the EnviroRace Programme (Environmental Race) next year.
Sunway Integrated Properties Sdn Bhd Project Management General Manager, Ong Chin Teck said they are also prepared to improvise to make the activity with media better.
He said, that include providing a place for participants to clean themselves and freshen-up after completing the ‘explorace’ programme.
“Through a programme like this, we not only strengthen our ties with MPSJ but also the media who has helped us a lot with publicity.
“We can also instill values of a healthy lifestyle besides appreciating the environment.
“Perhaps, we can bring this to another location in the following year, like the Lost World of Tambun in Ipoh. Anyway all these are subject to further discussion before we decide,” he said to SelangorKini.
Last May 6, Chin Teck also participated in the pioneer EnviroRace Programme with MPSJ which was held around Sunway area.
At 8 a.m. sharp, 18 teams were flagged-off from the Kompleks 3C to start the race which ended at 12 p.m.
Each team consists of four people with two from media, one from MPSJ and one from Sunway Group.
They were required to solve every task provided at all the stops at Sunway University, Sunway South Quay, Sunmed, Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa, Sunway Pyramid and Sunway Lagoon.
MPSJ Yang Dipertua, Dato’ Nor Hisham Ahmad Dahlan accompanied by Sunway Group Chairman, Tan Sri Jeffrey Cheah attended the closing ceremony and gave away the prizes.
